We have all received the incredible gift of being children of God. When we accepted Jesus into our lives this relationship framed our understanding of the world around us. We examine our lives through the lens of the bible and attempt to live according to the rules within. Some may say that rules are bad. I believe that the rules that are given to us in the bible serve as a blueprint for godly living, but also for experiencing the beauty of God's love here on earth.
As children of God, we are heirs to the kingdom. This means we should protect and preserve the integrity of God's kingdom and of the church. The church is meant to correspond to the body of believers and not to a single physical structure. We are the church.
We are meant to live as spiritual beings since that is what we are. Though we are housed within flesh here on earth we are destined to live eternity in a different form. We may be unhappy with our current circumstances, but in the scope of eternity, the time we spend here on earth is minor. Our Father is in heaven and though we can connect with him now, one day we will be face to face with him. It will be a moment of great joy, not a moment of judgement. It will be a homecoming.
